Seeley Yoo

Seeley is a first-year medical student at Duke University School of Medicine who joined Dr. Goodwin’s lab in the fall. She graduated from Davidson College in 2020, where she studied Psychology and Neuroscience and played on the soccer team. During undergrad, she completed a thesis on the relationship between autobiographical memory and cognitive aging. She also participated in research studying factors impacting the psychological health of individuals with Parkinson’s disease. After college, she worked for two years at the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI), conducting clinical genomics research. Seeley’s research interests include global health and improving clinical outcomes for neurosurgical patients. She is currently helping with various projects in Dr. Goodwin’s lab, including a study investigating factors that impact outcomes for patients with metastatic brain disease and a systematic review examining racial disparities in the neurosurgical field.
