Dana’s research interests relate to quality of life and health disparities amongst patients with spine pathologies. For her third-year research project, Dana will focus on distress amongst patients undergoing surgical intervention for metastatic spine disease as well as sociodemographic disparities within this population. Dana will also be co-leading the Spine Surgery Patient Navigators program with fellow lab-member Antoinette Charles.
Prior to attending Duke, Dana graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2019 where she studied Neuroscience and Medicine, Health & Society. After graduating, Dana spent two years working for the Commissioner’s Office of Major League Baseball doing healthcare administration and collaborating with team physicians on sports medicine research projects.
